Our driveway was formerly serviced by a well known company that contacted us every spring. This year the sub-contracted crew came, complained and left. Even worse, when I called the rep immediately got defensive with me saying your driveway was overgrown with weeds (2 small ones that came up after I had sprayed), is dirty and was underestimated. If I power washed it which she said was "common knowledge" they'd come back at a new price. R&J entered the picture with a very fair price and worked on it patching and cleaning and sealing for over 6 hours. Just to do it right. I cannot recommend these guys enough for knowing their job and doing it correctly .



They recommended seal coating every other year and I said no, I wanted you back next year.

Worked with Richard to refinish the back lot of our 6 unit condo building. The entire process from quote, to scheduling, and finishing was a great experience. Communication was prompt and to the point, which I appreciate when trying to coordinate work at home along with your day to day.

We ended up needing to repair cracks, patch some complex spaces and re seal. Richard took on the project himself even after his partner for the day called in last minute. Despite this, he was detail oriented and took his time to do the work the right way. He must have been on site 8 hours seeing everything through. I'll definitely be calling him for routine work moving forward and also passing his information along to some acquaintances.

We were so upset when we had scheduled our blacktop resealing with a DIFFERENT company who, when they arrived, said "We cannot do this. It's not prepped. You have weeds growing and you have to power wash first." The weeds were teeny tiny. They also told us that they'd have to charge more as we share a vacated village street entry with our neighbor and that we had been undercharged about the several times we had used them in the past. My husband rarely gets visibly pissed off - his take was these guys just didn't want to do the work. But I digress. This has so far read like a bad review of another company that shall go unnamed (but it starts with a K and ends with an N). My husband picked another company, RJ, who responded the same day and did our job within a few days. It's just Robert & his brother, James. Our drive is admittedly in bad shape, but they took the time to clean all the edging, filled areas that needed asphalt, and then painstakingly resealed it. They worked non-stop about 6 hours and did a great job. I might add that they're very pleasant and their price was reasonable. We highly recommend RJ Blacktop for response time, price, quality and work ethic!
